Atv ride Wawa, Bristol Off-Roading Outfitters,Victoria Day Weekend tour

Friday the Bristol Motel hosted a BBQ meet and greet for the Wardlaw tour.

The weather gave these hardy riders a taste of everything from high winds, wet rain, sunny periods, and even snow, but this did nothing to interfere with their ride.

They had a variety of trails to accommodate the very best riders but they all made it back intact, maybe a little wet and a little dirty but they had fun. This was a great way to spend a holiday with your family and friends and to try something new.

The only way to travel,......... alone....... with lots of friends behind to push and pull.

Piece of cake.

I apologise for the slow process of showing my pictures but the last ride I earned the boner award this ride. Hurt my arm while the machine was not even moving ..... but, I will get it done. A.S.A.P. I will forward to you but this will have to hold you until then. We had a blast hosting this group they were wonderful and we hope to spend time with them again. Willy & Bonnie & guides & helpers from Bristol Off-Roading Outfitters. Your safe riding made this an awsome Victoria Weekend.

Santa Arrives by Firetruck to Community Christmas

Sunday November 30, Santa and Mrs. Clause arrived at the Wawa Arena where the Best Start Hub hosted a very busy afternoon for the children of the area. The kids and the parents had a great time and it was a real treat to see something so positive. Everyone left their worries at home.

Santa Clause was keep busy with all the orders the children were giving him and Mrs. Clause was giving out the candy canes and oranges. The elves helpers were kept busy too as there was a steady line of children waiting for their turn to talk with Santa while their parent took their picture.

There were games and toys set up around the room and parents watched and talked and watched their children play while enjoying the snacks provided.

Small prizes were awarded to the children but they were more interested in the games and toys. Volunteers helped to paint the childrens' faces and helped them to decorate cookies. The play dough was also a huge hit not only for the kids as parents spent time at this table as well.

The Best Start Hub, Wawa hosted this very successful free day for the community . They did a great job and everyone is waiting for it to come around again next year. All the time and energy this group put into this project was very well appreciated. You are the Best Start to this community, and one day your little people will be a real asset to our community. I noticed these little people, many of them coming and going, but I noticed only laughter, sharing and learning, with the exception of the few who were afraid of Santa. Too bad some of the leaders today were not there; I am sure they could have learned something about getting along. Merry Christmas.

A.T.V. Annual Couple Ride to Chapleau, ON

Coffee Time along the trail to Chapleau, Ontario. The ride last year was on May 18, 2007 and it was enjoyed by everyone so we decided to repeat it again for the fourth year in a row. We overnight at the Bed @ Breakfast called Valentine Farms. This is a really neat place to see. It was once a chicken farm where chickens were raised for local stores. Ross Broomhead has done a great job at renovating this place and he also cooks us a great breakfast prior to our departure in the morning. Check it out.....you will be glad you did.

We travelled over a variety of trail and had fun with the challenges. This ride is a challenge but has a lot of road riding as well...it keeps the ladies happy.

You never know what you will find along the trail. Here we found a horn left by a moose that was in a fight with another moose. Must have been a girl thing. All I know is one of them has a huge headache. His horn was ripped right off his head well before it was time. Maybe we will find the other one on the way home. The marks on the ground where they had this fight sure showed it was a mean fight.

One thing about these rides, it really shows us how beautiful a world we do live in, here in the north. I would not trade it for anything.
It was a hot day but that spring water was c o l d!

I made it all the way ...good thing ....I had no intention off getting off this bike in this water.

The ride is May 24, 2008 this year and it will be a special ride for a special couple and this is all I can say.... now. So if you want to come for a good time with your friend or by yourself , give us a call as we still have a few spots available.
