4th Annual Chapleau ATV Tour with Bristol Off-Roading Outfitters,Wawa,ON

The fourth annual Chapleau Tour was another great weekend ride. This is the head of the Cow river and it showed us it's best. The roar of the water made us stop and take an extra look. We are so lucky to be able to enjoy this beauty while we ride our ATV's.

Relaxing at 1/2 way Haven, while Gail & Steve are busy preparing supper for their ATV group of thirty ATV riders this evening.
Rosie a first time rider was awarded the boner award for making a new trail down a ravine. This was quite a ride for the new rider but she managed to ride all the way and plans to purchase a new bike for next years ride.
Chico on a rope! This is Chico's 4th ride to Chapleau and he is now a pro. A great guy to travel with. His sidekick, Betty is always with him and she packs a great lunch so we are never hungry.

This is the place we recap the trip while we wait for our supper at aux trois moulins restaurant. We had a very polite waiter who did an excellent job of keeping all the orders right. Thank you and we hope to see you next year on our ride.

Valentine Bed & breakfast is the place to stay. We like it so much we go back every year. Ross Broomhead also cooks us a great breakfast before we head out in the morning.

Last but not least this is the group from the U.S. A. They have ridden with us for over ten years, a few new ones and a couple old ones return, sometimes twice a year to ride the trails . This ride they brought Ashley, one of their daughter's who had just graduated from high school and won a scholarship to Northern Michigan University where she will study music. She had a brand new Canam bright yellow bombardier and she tested it on this 500 kl trip with only a blown belt at the end of the trip. Notice how clean the bikes are. Custom regulations require the bikes to be washed prior to returning to the U.S.A.
I will do another blog about our American friends as they are special friends who come to ride. Over the years we have learned that even with the border dividing us we are still friends and we have the same daily life that is weighing us down. Getting out to ride and socialize with friends is a great way to pass the time and forget the everyday strife.

Atv ride Wawa, Bristol Off-Roading Outfitters,Victoria Day Weekend tour

Friday the Bristol Motel hosted a BBQ meet and greet for the Wardlaw tour.

The weather gave these hardy riders a taste of everything from high winds, wet rain, sunny periods, and even snow, but this did nothing to interfere with their ride.

They had a variety of trails to accommodate the very best riders but they all made it back intact, maybe a little wet and a little dirty but they had fun. This was a great way to spend a holiday with your family and friends and to try something new.

The only way to travel,......... alone....... with lots of friends behind to push and pull.

Piece of cake.

I apologise for the slow process of showing my pictures but the last ride I earned the boner award this ride. Hurt my arm while the machine was not even moving ..... but, I will get it done. A.S.A.P. I will forward to you but this will have to hold you until then. We had a blast hosting this group they were wonderful and we hope to spend time with them again. Willy & Bonnie & guides & helpers from Bristol Off-Roading Outfitters. Your safe riding made this an awsome Victoria Weekend.
