STILL IN WINTER

                      

 Over the last few days we have had another  8" of snow on the trails.                 

Willy and Chico are busy in the tractors. 

      Snowmobilers are enjoying the groomed trails around our area. Many are riding up to Hearst and back to check out the old familiar trails.  This winter we have seen a lot of our old friends coming to ride their old trails that have never returned  for over 10  to 15 years.  

We want to take a minute and say a big HELLO to our friends out there that are unable to travel here this winter and we hope to see you next year.  To our friends that have retired their sleds keep in touch with us over our web site.   To the ones that are sick we wish you well and hope the good old days bring you comfort.   The many friends we have made over the past 23 years are always in our heart and the memories remind us of the best times ever with strangers whom became our extended family.   

         The trails are great so if you still want to ride.........

Bristol Motel Off-Roading Outfitters Annual May ATV Ride to Chapleau.

This year's trip kicked off with a group breakfast at the Embassy Restaurant in Wawa on Saturday morning. The weekend forecast predicted beautiful weather all around!

The trails were a bit dusty due to the hot, dry weather we have been having,

but not a soul was complaining!

The beavers did a great job of flooding the trails in some spots. It was a blast to ride through!

We had a quick stop in at Halfway Haven before heading on to our final destination of the day.

Gail& Steve had this sign on the wall and we just had to take a picture! Ya know, for those times when "Towing is not an option!"

The weather was just excellent!! We had happy riders ...

and sexy boots ...

...and of course - the occasional tune up!! (He didn't know we were watching!)

At the end of a long day of riding, we finally reached the cozy comforts of our home away from home, Valentine Farms Bed & Breakfast!

We were having so much fun that even the cows made it in before us!

Ross Broomhead is the owner of this remodeled chicken coop and it sure does not look like it did when he was raising chickens and selling fresh eggs.

This cozy living room area is where we sat and relaxed after a wonderful spaghetti dinner courtesy of our trail guide's cook ... er... wife, Bonnie.

Our second day of riding started out a rider's breakfast prepared by our host, Ross Broomhead.

This is the kitchen Ross prepares his fantastic, full course breakfast every morning for his guests.

After filling our "gas tanks", we set out on another beautiful day of riding.

We enjoyed a great trail lunch next to the lake. It was very tempting to go for a dip!

Our adventure ended Sunday evening at Bristol Off-roading Outfitters Homestead in Goudreau, Ontario.

There we were treated to a home cooked dinner with a special surprise for one of our avid riders. (Every groom-to-be needs a bachelor party!)

This year was our 6th ride and we already have our 2011 ride booked with 20 new riders. Accommodations are limited so it looks like we will have 2 rides next year!

Travel to Wawa arriving in Wawa at the Bristol Motel for accommodations.

Saturday, May 22, 2010
Full day guided ride from Wawa to Chapleau. We will be leaving the Bristol Motel 8:00 am sharp. Bikes must be gassed up, riders ready to ride. Helmets, ownership and proof of Insurance must be carried by all drivers. Trail lunches will be provided. A good idea to bring a few extra drinks, water is the best. Accommodations: double occupancy at the Valentine Bed & Breakfast. A spaghetti supper will be provided when we arrive.

Breakfast will be provided 8:00 am to 8:30am by Ross Broomhead our host. We will be leaving 9:00 am sharp. Full day guided return trip to Goudreau.
Trail lunches will be provided. Riders taking the overnight package can leave for Wawa from Dubreuilville while the others will continue on to stay in Goudreau at the Homestead for another day or days of riding. (Price extra).
This is a long but easy ride not a race. It gets us ready to ride for the 2010 season. Bring a bathing suit, camera to capture your ride. Warm clothes a must. Rain gear & boots, a warm coat as snow can suddenly appear as has happened in earlier rides. Dust mask & eye protection. Bring a spare belt and 2 gallons of gas for each machine as there is no gas along the trail.

No alcohol is included, feel free to bring your own for the evening. Overnight kit. Bug spray and sun tan lotion. Showers, towels, bedding provided.

Cost :
Three night package $ 275.00 per person. Includes 3 nights accommodation (double occupancy), meals, trail lunches, guiding & shuttle.
Gasoline not included.
Package available for one overnight guided ride.
Limited number of riders: Register early to book your place.
